Fairfield Volleyball and Women’s Soccer to Host Metro Conference Matches on SNY This October

Both teams will challenge Quinnipiac in their televised home contests

EDISON, N.J. – Fairfield University Volleyball and Women's Soccer have been chosen by the Metro Conference to host upcoming league action live on SNY. Both televised contests will feature the Stags challenging in-state conference rival Quinnipiac. Fairfield Volleyball's road match at Rider on Nov. 6 will also air on tape delay on SNY at a date and time to be announced.

Fairfield Volleyball hosts Quinnipiac at Leo D. Mahoney Arena on Oct. 2 in a meeting of the top two teams in this fall's preseason coaches' poll. The Stags and Bobcats have also been the top two teams in the final conference standings in each of the last three campaigns and met in three consecutive MAAC Championship Matches from 2022-24. First serve on this year's clash at Mahoney Arena is slated for 7 p.m. Admission is free for all fans to all Fairfield Volleyball home matches this season.

The Stags' Nov. 6 road match at Rider will air live on ESPN+ and on tape delay on SNY from the Broncs' Alumni Gym in Lawrenceville. The encounter is a rematch of the 2025 MAAC Championship Match.

Also a meeting of the top teams in the 2025 Metro Conference standings, Fairfield Women's Soccer hosts Quinnipiac at Lessing Field on Oct. 21 at 7 p.m. The teams have stood atop the table for each of the last four regular seasons, including back-to-back MAAC Regular Season Championships for the Stags as well as the 2024 tournament crown. Tickets for the Oct. 21 match are available at FairfieldStags.com/TIX.

"Expanding our partnership with SNY to include fall sports is another important step in increasing the visibility of Metro student-athletes and member institutions," said Metro Conference Commissioner Travis Tellitocci. "SNY provides us with a tremendous platform in the nation's largest media market, and we are excited to showcase women's volleyball and men's and women's soccer to audiences throughout the Tri-State Area. This relationship strengthens our commitment to providing greater visibility for Metro programs across all of our sports."

As a part of the Metro Conference's agreement with ESPN, all three televised games will also be simulcast live nationwide on ESPN+ and the ESPN app with no digital blackouts. Home matches on SNY will be produced by the Stags Sports Network, Fairfield Athletics' in-house, multi-platform broadcast entity.

The Stags Sports Network produced 147 live broadcasts in the 2025-26 academic year emanating from a total of eight different venues. Operations are managed by Fairfield Athletics and Media Center staff alongside a crew of Fairfield University students and freelance industry professionals.
