At Fairfield University, our rise to national prominence is driven by a relentless commitment to excellence, continuous growth, and a shared vision for the future. As we strive to reach new heights in competition, academics, and the student-athlete experience, we also recognize the importance of reflecting on the journey that brought us here. Looking back allows us to honor the achievements of those who built our foundation, learn from the challenges that have strengthened us, and celebrate the milestones that define our legacy. By embracing both forward progress and thoughtful reflection, Fairfield Athletics remains grounded in its values while confidently pursuing an even brighter future for our student-athletes, coaches, alumni, and the entire Fairfield Stags community.
 
Throughout the 2025-26 academic year, our student-athletes exemplified that embrace of the Magis through their unwavering dedication, resilience, and determination, culminating in one of the most successful years in the history of Fairfield Athletics, culminating in our third consecutive MAAC Commissioner's Cup and fifth straight MAAC Women's Commissioner's Cup.
 
Together, our programs secured six team conference championships, including four teams winning the league title for the second or third consecutive year, as well as 12 individual MAAC titles.  Our success extended well beyond conference competition, with five NCAA Championship appearances highlighted by an NCAA postseason victory for Fairfield Field Hockey.
 
The pages that follow highlight the exceptional accomplishments of our 20 varsity programs and more than 500 student-athletes, whose achievements transcend athletic competition. Their commitment to academic excellence produced a department-record 3.62 cumulative GPA, while their dedication to serving others resulted in more than 5,000 hours of community service—reflecting the holistic educational experience that defines Fairfield Athletics.
 
Every milestone we have achieved is a testament to the strength of our team and the passionate support of our Fairfield family. Across our department, our student-athletes, coaches, and staff have cultivated a culture grounded in accountability, perseverance, and common purpose. This growth mindset results in an annual re-set of our own expectational bar while strengthening our care for one another and our mutual accountability in the pursuit of our highest potential.

Whether you are an alumnus, student, parent, or fan, you are an indispensable part of the Fairfield Athletics community. Your extraordinary support over the past year reached unprecedented levels, with a record 4,073 gifts totaling more than $4.43 million, including an all-time high of $4.2 million in operational support.
 
Your generosity, the tremendous enthusiasm you bring to our home venues, and your steadfast encouragement of our student-athletes have been instrumental in our continued growth and success. Together, we are building on our momentum, strengthening our tradition of comprehensive excellence, and elevating Fairfield Athletics on the national stage.
