DANBURY, Conn. – Fairfield University Women's Basketball junior guard Kaety L'Amoreaux has been named to the ECAC First Team announced by the league's office. L'Amoreaux had a career year during her junior season, being named the MAAC Player of the Year after leading the conference with a personal-best 17.3 points per game.
 
L'Amoreaux set career-highs in: points (570), assists (143), 3-pointers (74), free throws (126), rebounds (163), and steals (68) while also having the most accurate shooting numbers of her career with a .464 field goal percentage and a .365 shooting clip.
 
She led the MAAC with 570 points which was the fourth-most in a season in Fairfield history. She also led the conference in: assists, field goal percentage, free throws made, and free throw percentage (.887). Her 126 free throws were the most by a Stag in 25 years and her .887 percentage from the stripe was the highest in school history.
 
Defensively, she was third in the MAAC in steals and earned a spot on the inaugural All-MAAC Defensive Team.
 
The awards piled in for L'Amoreaux as she was named the MAAC Player of the Year as well as earning a spot on the CSC Academic All-District squad.
 
Throughout the year, L'Amoreaux earned six MAAC Player of the Week awards, three All-Met weekly honors, and a spot on the USBWA National Player of the Week list.
 
She netted her 1,000th career point earlier this season and sits 18th in school history with 1,291 career points. She is also 15th in assists (364), 10th in steals (186), and seventh in 3-pointers (169).
 
The junior helped the Stags to their third-straight MAAC Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance. Throughout her Fairfield career, she has helped the Stags to an 87-12 overall record which includes a 67-2 mark against conference opponents. Fairfield has also been ranked in the Associated Press (AP) Top-25 nationally in two of her three seasons.
