HANOVER, N.H. – Fairfield University Men's Tennis opened the spring season on Friday afternoon at Dartmouth. The Stags fell to the host Big Green, 7-0.
"Considering we've only had a few practices, we played well against a good opponent today," said Head Coach
Jeff Bricker. "We have a lot to work on, but we're excited to put the work in. We'll see if we can learn from today's loss when we're back at it tomorrow against BU."
The Stags were clipped for the doubles point with
Diego Alcala and
Domagoj Stabek falling in the top flight, while
Kacper Krolikowski and
Pol Otin manned the #3 spot.
Alex Aguiar and
Calum Jessett saw their match go unfinished at #2 while trailing, 5-4.
The inaugural singles lineup of the spring featured Alcala,
Kostas Kollias, Stabek,
Luca Benaibbouche,
Zach Whittington and
Alexander Di Staulo.
Fairfield Men's Tennis concludes the opening weekend of the spring slate on Saturday, Jan. 24 at Boston University.
