MONTGOMERY, N.Y.-Senior Ryan Lindley continued his fine start to the 2025 season by leading the Fairfield men's cross country team at Saturday's Jasper Fall XC Invitational hosted by Manhattan University. Lindley completed the 8K course at Twin Ponds on the Farm in a time of 26:00.06, which put him in the 31st scoring spot.
As a team, the Stags finished in seventh place out of 16 teams. Fairfield finished in front of MAAC foes Quinnipiac, Sacred Heart, Manhattan and Saint Peter's on Saturday.
Junior Chase Orciuch (26:06.2) and sophomore George Hohenleitner (26:11.8) were the next Fairfield finishers behind Lindley.
Bryce Robinson (26:46.5) and Kyle Haskell (26:57.4) rounded out the Stags' scorers in Saturday's field of 178 runners, which took place on the course where the MAAC Championship Meet will be held on Saturday, November 1.
Colin Shand (27:03.2) and Gabriel Montoya (27:07.8) finished just outside of scoring positions on Saturday for head coach Jake Jayworth's squad.
Bucknell took home the men's team crown at the 2025 Jasper Fall XC Invitational, and Siena's Jackson Cayward took first place as an individual in a time of 24:32.2
Fairfield is back in action next Saturday morning in New Britain at the Ted Owen Invitational hosted by Central Connecticut State University in Stanley Quarter Park.
