L’Amoreaux Chosen for USA Basketball 3x3 U23 World Cup Squad

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Fairfield University Women's Basketball junior Kaety L'Amoreaux was one of four athletes chosen to compete on the USA Basketball FIBA 3x3 U23 World Cup squad. L'Amoreaux and the USA team will travel to Xiong'an, China for the four-day tournament with all games streamed live on YouTube.

"Kaety is so deserving of this opportunity," Head Coach Carly Thibault-DuDonis said. "She sets the standard of work-ethic, consistency and toughness that it takes to be one of the best players in college basketball.  She has had a great off-season not only with our team in Fairfield but represented herself and our program incredibly well in Phoenix at the 3x Nationals in May. I know she is going to thrive on one of the biggest stages for 3x3 basketball in the world - it's what she does!"

L'Amoreaux joins the national stage after earning All-MAAC honors in her first two collegiate seasons, highlighted by a berth to the All-MAAC Second Team last year. She has helped Fairfield to back-to-back MAAC Championships while earning a spot on the All-MAAC Tournament team in both campaigns. She has guided the Stags to national rankings in both seasons with Fairfield holding the second-best winning percentage in the nation during her stay.

In her first two seasons, L'Amoreaux has averaged 11.3 points per game while netting double figures in 35 contests. She has also averaged 4.4 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.8 steals per game while connecting on 95 3-pointers as a Stag.

L'Amoreaux will join TCU's Taylor Bigby, Tennessee's Zee Spearman, and Kansas State's Serena Sundell on the USA squad who will be looking to defend their U23 World Cup title. L'Amoreaux also represented Fairfield University in the 3X3 nationals.

The USA women will open Pool B play on Sept. 17 vs. Mexico at 10:25 p.m. ET, followed by a matchup with Philippines on Sept. 18 at 12:55 a.m. ET. Pool play continues Sept. 19 vs. Spain at 10 p.m. ET and concludes on Sept. 20 vs. Chile at 12:30 a.m. ET.

Following pool play, the top two teams from each of the four five-team pools will move on to the quarterfinals.

The 2025 FIBA 3x3 U23 World Cup will stream live on YouTube.com/FIBA3x3.
