Coach Thibault-DuDonis to Coach at USA Basketball Women’s U19 National Team Trials

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Fairfield University Women's Basketball Head Coach Carly Thibault-Dudonis has been announced as a court coach for the upcoming USA Basketball Women's U19 National Team trials which will be held at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. The trials will begin on June 18 with the final 12-member roster expected to be announced following trials.

"To have the chance to represent USA Basketball is one of the greatest honors in my basketball career," Coach Thibault-DuDonis said. "USAB is the gold standard in international basketball, and the chance to be on court as part of the U19 trails is an unbelievable opportunity. I'm so excited to be on the court with Coach Moren, Fernandez, Ivey, and Roussell, all incredible basketball minds, and help Team USA prepare for another medal!"

Coach Carly will be one of two court coaches at the trials joining Richmond Head Coach Aaron Roussell. Both coaches were selected by the USA Basketball Women's Junior National Team Committee and will be working with USA Basketball for the first time.

Twenty-seven players from around the country will make up the trial participants including 17 with gold medal experience. The team will travel to Brno, Czechia, for the 2025 FIBA U19 Women's World Cup from July 12-20. In Brno, USA Basketball will compete in Group A alongside Israel, Hungary and Korea. The red, white and blue will tip off vs. Korea on July 12 before taking on Hungary the following day, both at 2:15 p.m. ET. Group play concludes against Israel on July 15 at 8:30 a.m. ET.

Coach Carly will be working for the USA Basketball Women's National Team program for the first time after bringing Fairfield on to the national scene over her three seasons. She has led the Stags to back-to-back MAAC Championships and NCAA Tournament appearances for the first time in school history while also receiving votes in the AP Top-25 Poll in both campaigns. She also holds a .771 winning percentage in her three years which is the 14th-highest among active Division I head coaches.
