Women’s Basketball MAAC Schedule Announced

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The 2025-26 Fairfield University Women's Basketball schedule is complete as the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) 20-game schedule for all 13 teams. The Stags will begin their title defense on Friday, Dec. 19 at Rider with their final regular season conference game coming against crosstown rivals Sacred Heart on Saturday, Feb. 28. Fairfield will not host Rider and Mount St. Mary's this year while also missing road games at Iona and Merrimack.

"We are excited for yet another competitive MAAC season!" Head Coach Carly Thibault-DuDonis said. "While there was a lot of player movement in the league this offseason, one thing I know is that the MAAC is full of incredible coaches that will have their teams playing at a high level. We are thankful for our continuity and retention to be prepared to face great teams in conference play."

After opening their conference slate at Rider, Fairfield will host their first MAAC game against Merrimack on Sunday, Dec. 1. The Stags will then return to the road to face Manhattan on Dec. 29.

The Stags will not have a road trip or home stand more than two games, opening their first homestand on New Year's Day against Canisius before facing their Western New York partner Niagara on Jan. 3.

Fairfield's other road games include: Saint Peter's (Jan. 8), Marist (Jan. 14), Niagara (Jan. 22), Canisius (Jan. 14), Sacred Heart (Jan. 31), Mount (Feb. 12), Quinnipiac (Feb. 14), and Siena (Feb. 21).

Other teams that fans will get to see the Stags compete at Mahoney Arena against are: Manhattan (Jan. 17), Siena (Jan. 19), Quinnipiac (Jan. 29), Marist (Feb. 5), Iona (Feb. 7), Saint Peter's (Feb. 19), and Sacred Heart (Feb. 29).

The 2025-26 MAAC Championships will start on Thursday, March 5 at the Jim Whalen Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J. The Championship game will be hosted on Monday, March 9.

"The condensed timeline with the conference tournament moving up will create some challenges with playing more games in fewer days at times," Coach Carly said. "But we will continue to lean on our depth as we pursue another championship."

Fairfield holds a combined 45-1 record against MAAC opponents in their last two seasons which includes back-to-back conference titles and NCAA Tournament appearances. The Stags also has achieved the highest winning percentage in the country the past two seasons while receiving votes in the AP Top-25 poll in both years.
