GRASONVILLE, Md.-The Fairfield University women's team golf team wrapped up a busy week of action on Sunday, as the Stags completed their second tournament in the last seven days with a fourth place finish out of nine teams in the two-day, three-round Intercollegiate at Prospect Bay in Maryland. Fairfield shot a final round total of 319 which matched their second round score after opening play with a team score of 323 over the first 18 holes of action early on Saturday. The Stags' total score of +97 put the squad 23 strokes behind LIU and Bucknell, who tied for first place in the team standings at +74.
Julia Rabadam finished play in Maryland with a Top-10 finish in the 50-golfer field, as she took eighth place with a score of +23 for the three rounds. On Sunday, she shot a 79 after finishing with rounds of 82 and 78 on Saturday.
Grace Windfelder and
Katelynn Waclawski finished three strokes behind Rabadam for the tournament at +26 over the 54 holes which placed the duo in a tie for twelfth place.
Sofia Nogalo, who posted the lowest score of any Fairfield golfer on Sunday as she fired a final round four over par 76, finished one shot back of Windfelder and Waclawski at +27.
Juliette Prud'Homme at +29 for the tournament and
Katie Patterson, who finished in a tie for 39th place, completed the Stags' roster this weekend in the Old Line State.
Vanessa Moreno Reyes of LIU, Jessie Burch of Sacred Heart and Sophia Bardunias of Bucknell finished in a three-way tie for first place on the individual leaderboard, as they each shot a 230 (+14) over the three rounds.
Up next, the Fairfield women's golf team will play its final tournament before this year's Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship when they compete in the Rutgers Invitational on April 5 and 6.
