FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Fairfield University Baseball team will close out their 17-game homestand with a pair of midweek contests on the ledger as the face Hofstra on Tuesday and Yale on Wednesday with both games starting at 3pm. The Stags are coming off a conference sweep over Saint Peter's to cap a 4-1 week. Fairfield averaged 12.4 runs over the last week and are now second in the MAAC and in the top-50 in the nation in scoring offense.
 
Dean Ferrara led the offense charge with a team-high .579 average as he collected a hit in 11 of his 19 at-bats while scoring six runs, hitting three homers, and driving in nine. He has recorded four hits in back-to-back games for the first time in his career.
 
Ferrara was one of seven Stags with at least a .300 average during the week as the squad hit .369 over the five games. Fairfield also slugged 14 homers with a .676 slugging percentage. For the season, the Stags lead the MAAC with 52 homers and a .520 slugging percentage while scoring the second-most runs in the league at 261.
 
Ethan Hibbard is the MAAC leader with 13 homers and 49 RBI while placing second in average at .413.
 
Hofstra enters the game with an 11-23 record and a 3-9 mark in the CAA. Dylan Palmer is the team's leading hitter with a .403 clip to account for 58 hits.
 
Yale stands with an 11-17 mark and an even 6-6 record in the Ivy League. Davis Hanson leads the team with a .324 average while adding five homers and 11 doubles.
 
Fairfield will next hit the road for the first time in nearly a month when they visit Mount St. Mary's for a three-game series starting on Friday at 3pm.
