CHERRY HILL, N.J. -- The Fairfield University rowing teams competed at the Knecht Cup on Sunday with the women's program entering the varsity 8, the second varsity 8, and the varsity four and the men's program participating in the varsity 8 and the second varsity 8.
The varsity four was the first Stags boat in the water and opened with a second-place finish in its heat with a time of 8:07.12. Fairfield was represented
Lauren Hoppe, Julie Pedrazzi,
Ava Forgione,
Grace McDonough, and coxswain
Alisa Tsavaris.
The women's second varsity eight secured a fourth-place finish in its heat by completing the course in 7:12.97 which was less than a second off third-place Marist. Fairfield's entry was comprised by

Megan Rourke,
Kelly Cullen,
Zuzanna Janusz,
Kathryn Bergstrom,
Sophia Savage, and coxswain

The men's second varsity eight took to the course next for Fairfield and ended its day with a sixth-place run.

Luca Tarricone, and coxswain Maddie Gross. combined for the finish in 6:40.16.
The women's varsity eight secured a fourth-place finish in its heat by completing the distance in 7:02.64 behind the efforts of
Arianna Welton,
Catherine Morrissey,
Emma Szachta,
Megan Blair,
Victoria Conrad, Molly Squire,
Emily Regan,
Sarah Wendling, and coxswain Lexi Tomlinson.
The men's varsity eight rounded out the day for Fairfield and gained a third-place finish in its heat with a time of 6:08.12. The Stags lineup included
