EDISON, N.J. – After a 3-0 week on the court representing Fairfield University Women's Tennis, Katarina Plumtree has been named the MAAC Player of the Week. Plumtree was 2-0 in singles and won her lone doubles match as the Stags went toe-to-toe with Providence and Bryant.
 
In Saturday's 6-1 win over Providence, Plumtree earned a victory at #2 singles in straight sets – 6-1, 6-4. She picked up two wins on Sunday at Bryant, earning another triumph at #2 singles – 7-5, 4-6, 6-3 – and pairing with Nicolette Loeffler to get a 6-4 win at #3 doubles.
 
Fairfield Women's Tennis is back in action next week for a Spring Break trip to North Carolina. The Stags will meet Gardner-Webb, Elon and UNC Greensboro on March 4-7 before returning home to host the first match of the year on the WAC Outdoor Courts against LIU on Saturday, March 16 at noon.
