Stags Embark to Niagara Falls for Battle with Purple Eagles on Saturday

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Fairfield University Women's Soccer team will embark on their seven-hour trip to Niagara Falls, N.Y., as they battle the Niagara Purple Eagles on Saturday afternoon at 1pm. The Stags, with their six points are tied atop the league table with Quinnipiac

  • The Stags are coming off an exciting 2-1 win over the Rider Broncs on Saturday, their eighth-straight regular season victory in the MAAC.
  • Reagan Klarmann tallied the eventual game-winner in the 78th minute for her first goal of the season. She was named the MAAC Offensive Player of the Week, the third different Stag to earn that honor this season.
  • Elle Scott opened the scoring with a goal to start the second half. It was the second-straight match she has tallied a goal. She leads all active Fairfield players with 16 goals
  • The Stags are the top-scoring team in the MAAC with conference-highs of 16 goals and 13 assists. Maddy Theriault leads the conference with six goals
 
About Niagara:
  • Niagara enters play with a 2-7-1 overall record and a 1-1-1 mark in the conference after a 0-0 draw against Marist
  • Katie Diem and Emily Hahnel are tied for the team lead with two goals apiece.
