ATLANTA, Ga. – The Fairfield University Women's Basketball team earned a spot on the Women's Basketball Coaching Association (WBCA) Academic Team Honor Roll after maintaining a team grade point average of 3.27 during the 2022-23 academic season. Ten different Stags receiving a GPA of 3.0 or greater while seven student-athletes earned a spot on the MAAC All-Academic Team.
"One of the things I love about the academic caliber of Fairfield University is that you attract motivated, hard-working student-athletes in all areas of their lives, particularly in the classroom," Head Coach
Carly Thibault-DuDonis said. "I am proud of the hard work that our women put in off the court to achieve at a high level."
In total, ten different Stags earned a GPA of 3.0 or higher with four student-athletes maintaining a mark greater than a 3.5. Eleven different majors were represented on the squad with four student-athletes studying in Fairfield's nationally-ranked business school.
Lauren Beach led the group with an impressive 3.90 GPA while studying in the Marion Peckham Egan School of Nursing, which was ranked in the top-five in New England and received national accolades from the US News & World Reports.

Anna Eng,
Callie Cavanaugh,
Jocelyn Polansky,
Brooke Tatarian, Mackenzie Martin, and
Andrea Hernangomez all receiving accolades.
The Stags are under the direction of second-year Head Coach
Carly Thibault-DuDonis, who guided the squad during her first season as a head coach last year.
