FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Three Fairfield University softball student-athletes earned a berth to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team as the organization announced its annual academic honors this afternoon. Hoffman batted .294 and led the team with 12 RBI against non-conference opponents. She capped her season by earning a spot on the MAAC All-Tournament team.

Bridgman finished the regular season by picking up a pair of wins in the final week, pitching a three-hit shutout against Siena after securing a victory in the team's final non-conference game against Army West Point. The shutout against Siena was her first on her own this season which helped her to lower her ERA to 2.78 which ranked first on the pitching staff. She earned her only save of the season which came in the season opener against Monmouth, a 6-4 victory in the Stetson tournament on February 17. Bridgman registered her season high of nine strikeouts in a five-inning start against Central Connecticut. She fanned five or more hitters four times (6 vs. DePaul; 6 vs. Sacred Heart; 5 vs. Iona).

Lindsay finished the regular season by winning eight of her final 11 decisions which included six victories against MAAC opponents. She posted a 2.44 ERA during that stretch, earning two shutouts over 12 appearances. She earned her only save of the season by tossing one inning in the opener of the Rider doubleheader before earning the win in the nightcap by a 3-2 score. She opened the season by striking out a season-best four hitters, in addition to tallying three strikeouts in two other appearances (vs. Rider and Manhattan). She allowed one earned run or less in seven of her 18 starts this season. She was the team's co-leader along with Alyssa Weinberg for non-conference victories this season as both pitchers owned a 3-4 mark in those contests.

The Fairfield University softball team, under Head Coach Julie Brzezinski, advanced to the 2023 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Tournament after posting an 11-9 conference record and finishing fourth in the MAAC.
