PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- The Fairfield University men's rowing team closed out its competition at the Dad Vail Regatta on Saturday afternoon with the novice 4 highlighting the day with a third-place finish in the Grand Final. The heavyweight varsity 4, the junior varsity 4, and the varsity lightweight 4 also were involved in the regatta for Fairfield.
The heavyweight varsity 4 started the day with a semifinal appearance, taking third place in the race with a time of 6:33.55. Embry-Riddle won the semifinal by crossing the finish line in 6:25.05. The result advanced the Stags into the 2nd Final, posting a fifth-place run by running the course in 6:38.57. Mercyhurst won the event by registering a time of 6:25.01.
Michael Greene, Mike Pagliaro, Michael Hamilson,
Brady Stergion, and coxswain Matt Tarabocchia represented Fairfield in both races.Â
The novice 4 earned a berth in the Grand Final after strong performances in the heat and semifinal on Friday. The Stags took the bronze with their third place finish, completing the run in 6:43.16. La Salle won the Grand Final with its time of 6:2870. Fairfield's entry was comprised by

The junior varsity 4 secured a fifth place finish in its respective Grand Final, crossing the line in 6:58.79 behind the efforts of Alex Hammat,
Lanyon Henwood,
Spencer Chidley, Jake Godwin, and coxswain Tom Flynn. La Salle won the event with a time of 6:29.66. The lightweight 4 also took a fifth place finish this afternoon by rowing the distance in 6:43.22.
