RICHMOND, Va. – For the second time this season, Jack McKenna has been recognized as the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Rookie of the Week. McKenna scored five goals in a 1-1 week for the Stags.
 
A local product out of Fairfield Warde High School, McKenna netted a hat trick in last Tuesday's win at Sacred Heart and scored twice on Saturday at Rafferty Stadium against Harvard. The freshman has scored at least two goals in every game this season en route to 12 goals and 14 total points.
 
On the season, McKenna ranks sixth in the CAA with 2.40 goals per game. Exclusively among freshmen, his scoring total ranks second in the CAA and sixth in the nation.
 
McKenna was previously named CAA Rookie of the Week on Feb. 21 following a two-goal, two-assist outing in the home win over Wagner.
 
The Stags are back on Conway Field at Rafferty Stadium tomorrow – Tuesday, March 8 – to host in-state foe Quinnipiac at 7 p.m.
