CHARLESTON, S.C. – A hard fought contest against a strong Charleston Southern squad saw Fairfield University women's tennis fall, 7-0 Thursday afternoon.
The Buccaneers captured the doubles point on the day, and kept their foot on the gas throughout the singles round. Katarina Plumtree went toe-to-toe with her opponent at No. 2 singles, forcing a tiebreaker while trailing by a set, before falling in the break.
Fairfield women's tennis is back in action Tuesday, when they return home to host Wagner in one final tune up before conference play begins next weekend. First serve between the Stags and the Seahawks is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
