EDISON, N.J. – Fairfield University Women's Basketball senior
Lou Lopez-Senechal was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Player of the Week for the second-straight week and the third time this season. Lopez-Senechal led the Stags with a game-high 27 points and a 50 percent shooting percentage in Fairfield's win at Rider which improved the squad's conference mark to 4-0.

Joe Frager said. "She has been working very hard in practice and it has paid dividends."
Lopez-Senechal reached the 20-point plateau for the third-straight game as she shot 11-for-22 from the floor and 4-for-8 from deep in Fairfield's win over Rider. She also added five rebounds, two assists, two steals, and a block. The senior netted 18 of her points in the first half and actually tallied seven of the team's first 10 points.
For the season, Lopez-Senechal leads the MAAC and 22nd in the country with a 19.9 scoring average. She also ranks seventh in the MAAC in field goal percentage (.459) and third in 3-point percentage (.396). Her 27-points at Rider brings her career total to 1,233, the 18th most in program history.
The senior is averaging 23.3 points in her first four MAAC games this season, helping the Stags to a 4-0 start in conference for the third-straight season.
Fairfield will put that conference record on the line when they embark on their Western New York swing, starting with a Thursday afternoon contest at Niagara at 2pm.
