FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Regular Season Championship was on the line on Sunday as Fairfield University Men's Tennis hosted Monmouth at the Walsh Athletic Center Outdoor Courts. The visiting Hawks came out on top in the meeting of MAAC unbeatens, securing their spot atop the conference table with a 5-2 decision.

Kaya Gore and
Keean Shah earned singles wins, each completing an undefeated run through the MAAC slate at their respective spots in the lineup. Gore went 5-0 at the #1 slot and Shah was 4-0 at the #5 position in conference matches.

"We came out a little slow today in doubles and it cost us. We battled throughout singles, but we didn't quite do enough to win today," said Head Coach
Jeff Bricker. "The good news is we have a week to practice before the tournament. The guys will be ready to go."

Fairfield concludes the regular season at 6-3 overall and 4-1 in the MAAC. The Stags await the release of the MAAC Championship bracket by the conference office. The tournament is slated for April 24-25 in West Windsor, N.J.
