FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Fairfield University Volleyball finished off the home portion of the 2021 spring schedule with a pair of 3-0 wins over visiting Siena in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action. The Stags hosted the Saints at Rafferty Gymnasium inside the Walsh Athletic Center due to the beginning stages of construction on the University's new Convocation Center.

With the pair of MAAC victories, the Stags improve to 8-0 on the season. Siena falls to 1-5.

The Sunday twin bill served as Senior Day for
Luci Albertson and
Kaylie Butts, who are both set to graduate from Fairfield this May. Albertson totaled 16 kills and seven blocks in six sets of work today, while Butts racked up 12 kills on.455 hitting to go along with six blocks from the middle.

Match 1: Fairfield 3, Siena 0 (25-9, 25-15, 25-17)

- The Stags hit a season-best .420 in the match, with all seven Stags to record a swing hitting .300 or better.
- Laura Seeger (.450) and Emily Schillinger (.308) shared the match high with 12 kills apiece.
- In the middle, Luci Albertson had eight kills on .467 hitting, and Ella Gardiner had seven kills on 13 errorless swings for a .538 clip.
- Manuela Nicolini managed the attack, dishing out 33 assists. She shared setting duties in the third frame with Alexis Rich, who doled out four assists.
- The Stags scored seven points from the endline, led by Georgia Via serving up three aces and a pair from Morgan Doll.
- Doll had a match-leading 11 digs, with Kyla Berg adding nine and Via posting eight.
- At the net, Gardiner and Schillinger each had a hand in three of the Stags' six team blocks as they limited Siena to a .087 hitting percentage.

Match 2: Fairfield 3, Siena 0 (25-15, 25-9, 25-19)

- The Fairfield attack continued its torrid pace with a .410 hitting percentage in the nightcap. Joelle Battles led the offense with 11 kills on .389 hitting and Emily Schillinger send home 10 kills at a .500 clip.
- Kaylie Butts hit a scorching .583 with seven kills on 12 errorless swings. Simone Tyson added seven kills on .417 hitting.
- Running the offense were Manuela Nicolini, who dished out 25 assists in two sets, and Alexis Rich, who handed out 15 assists in the third.
- The Stags totaled 10 blocks in the frame. Luci Albertson got a piece of six rejections, and Butts was part of four send-backs.
- Morgan Doll led the back row again with 17 digs and also served up three aces. Kyla Berg added seven digs as the Fairfield libero as Fairfield stifled Siena to a -.047 hitting percentage.
- Maddy Jerdonek rounded out the scoring with two aces.

Up next, the Stags round out the regular season with a Sunday, March 28 doubleheader at Quinnipiac. First serve from Hamden is set for noon. The Bobcats are 2-3 this spring with series splits against Manhattan and Canisius and a loss at Iona.
