2021 (Fall): MAAC All-Academic Team…MAAC Libero of the Week (Nov. 2)…Appeared in 72 sets spanning 25 matches…Averaged 3.47 digs per set with 250 total digs as a libero and DS…Chipped in to the scoring with 26 service aces…Also dished out 42 assists and landed one kill…Reached double-digit digs in 12 matches, including a streak of seven straight to cap the regular season…Had a season-best 22 digs in the five-setter against Canisius on Oct. 24…Notched multiple service aces in eight matches, led by a season-best five winners in the Oct. 9 sweep at Saint Peter’s.

2021 (Spring): Two-time MAAC Libero of the Week (March 12, March 16)…Appeared in 36 sets over nine matches at libero and DS…Averaged a team-high 4.75 digs per set…Also served up 10 aces and dished out 31 assists…Had double-digit digs in seven matches, including 32 in a four-set win at Iona on March 14…Also reached 30 digs in the five-set win at Quinnipiac on March 28.

Before Fairfield: A libero from McKinney, Texas, Georgia Via was an All-District defensive specialist at Frisco Independence High School. A three-time Defensive Player of the Year, she ranked third in the Dallas/Fort Worth area as a senior with 5.9 digs per set and 584 total digs on the campaign. Via was a consistent face on the All-District Academic Team, eventually collecting Academic All-State honors as a senior and earning a place in the National Honor Society.
