EDISON, N.J. – After averaging 21 points, including tying her career-high with 27 points in the series opener, Fairfield University Women's Basketball junior Lou Lopez-Senechal was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Player of the Week for the second time this season. Along with her 21.0 scoring average of the weekend, Lopez-Senechal shot 61 percent from the floor and 53 percent from behind the 3-point arc.
 
"Lou had an exceptional game on Saturday and followed that up with another strong effort on Sunday," Head Coach Joe Frager said. "I am very pleased with Lou's performance this season."
 
Lopez-Senechal started the weekend series by tying her career-high with 27 points against Rider, shooting 10-for-16 from the floor and 5-for-9 from long range. She followed that performance with 15 points in just 20 minutes as the Stags completed the road sweep against the Broncs.
 
For the season, Lopez-Senechal ranks in the top-three in the MAAC in most offensive categories including: second in scoring (18.2 per game), second in 3-pointers per game (3.2), and third in field goal percentage (.544). She is the conference leader in 3-point shooting percentage at .613, the fourth best number in the country.
 
This is the second MAAC Player of the Week honor this season for Lopez-Senechal and the third for the Stags. The Preseason MAAC Player of the Year, recorded her 800th career point in just her 58th career contest. Lopez-Senechal helped the Stags to their fifth-straight win and a perfect 4-0 record in the conference.
 
The Stags will look to continue that momentum when they welcome Saint Peter's to the George Bisacca Court at Alumni Hall for a two game series starting Friday night at 7pm.
