CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Fairfield University Athletics won a bronze NACMA "Best Of" Award from the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators. Fairfield was recognized in the Fan Giveaway/Promotion category for the replica Alumni Hall giveaway executed during the 2019-20 basketball season.

The Alumni Hall replica was distributed on Friday, Feb. 21 as Fairfield Men's Basketball topped Niagara, 61-60, on George Bisacca Court at Alumni Hall. The giveaway included a branded box and removable ceiling to view inside the venue.

"One of our goals annually is to increase fan engagement through exciting promotions and giveaways," said Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing & Fan Experience Sarah Ratchford. "The Alumni Hall replica was very well received by our fan base, and we are honored to be the recipient of a NACMA "'Best Of" award for the 2019-20 school year." 

Initiated in 2003, the NACMA "Best Of" awards program honors outstanding achievement in marketing and promotions. Awards are presented in 16 categories, with each category divided into three groups based upon school size and conference affiliations to promote fairness.

The winners were formally recognized during a virtual awards show on Wednesday, March 27.
