EDISON, N.J. – Lou Lopez-Senechal and
Katie Armstrong earned postseason recognition from the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) as both members of the Fairfield University Women's Basketball team were named to All-MAAC teams. The Stags' leading scorer, Lopez-Senechal was named to the All-MAAC First Team and Armstrong earned a nod to the All-MAAC Second Team.

Joe Frager said. "They have worked very hard throughout the season and it's really nice to have their efforts recognized by the MAAC coaches."
Lopez-Senechal led the Stags and ranks fifth in the MAAC with 15.4 points per game. She also placed third in the league in free throw percentage (.872), sixth in 3-point percentage (.382), and seventh in 3-pointer made (55), all of those also lead the team. She has scored in double figures in 18 of Fairfield's 20 MAAC games while scoring 20 or more in six of those contests. She has also posted two double-doubles this season including in our most recent contest against Niagara when she tallied game-highs in points (27) and rebounds (11). Both of those numbers also tied her career-high.
Armstrong led the Stags in points in 12 games and rebounds in 16 different contests during the season. Her 13.9 scoring average ranks eighth in the MAAC and she also ranks seventh in rebounding (7.1) and 12th in 3-point percentage (.333). Armstrong has reached double digits in scoring in 10 of her last 11 outings, a stretch where she is averaging 16.1 points per contest.
The duo helped the Stags to a 12-8 conference mark, their 12th winning season in
Joe Frager's 13 years at the helm.
With her being named to the All-MAAC First Team, Lopez-Senechal is now eligible for the conference's Player of the Year award joined by Marist's Alana Gilmer and Rebekah Hand, Rider's Stella Johnson, and Manhattan's Courtney Warley.
The Stags also earned the third seed in the upcoming 2020 Hercules Tire MAAC Championship at the Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J.
