CONWAY, S.C. – Fairfield women's tennis fell to Coastal Carolina 1-4 this afternoon in their second of three matches in South Carolina this week.
Fairfield dropped the Doubles competition point early falling at #2 and #3 Doubles.
In Singles play,
Jessica Pil tallied the lone win after her opponent Alexa Tiefel had to retire. Pil was leading 3-2 in the first set.
"We played another very good team today. Since we are such a young team these matches are very important for our growth" said Head Coach
Jeff Bricker. "We can play with these teams, but it takes a while to understand the consistency that is necessary to sustain high level of play. I'm pleased with our intensity and am looking forward to Thursday's match."
Fairfield will return to action on Thursday at 1 P.M. as they take on South Carolina State.
