FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Fairfield men's tennis took down crosstown opponent Sacred Heart by a score of 6-1 this afternoon.
In Doubles play, the Stags started off strong as
Lewis Edwards and
Stefan Mitrovic defeated Omar Abdo and Lucca Casalduc-Pla (6-1) at #3 Singles.
Kaya Gore and
Jonathan Olive-Blanco clinched the Doubles point at #1 Singles with their win over Seiji Hosokawa and William Wibmer (7-5).
In Singles play,
Griffin Schlesinger defeated Omar Abdo at #5 Singles (6-1, 6-4) while
Allan Magid followed with a #6 Singles win over Lucca Casalduc-Pla (6-1, 6-3).
Jonathan Olive-Blanco sealed the win for the Stags with a victory at #3 Singles over Kevin Chao (6-0, 7-6 (6-4)).
Kaya Gore defeated Seiji Hosokawa at #1 Singles (5-7, 6-1, 10-3) while
Lewis Edwards rounded out the match with a win over Ayman Khan at #4 Singles (6-2, 7-6 (5-3)).

Jeff Bricker. "We came out with a ton of energy in doubles and carried it through singles. It's nice for the guys to finish the fall dual match season undefeated! We still have some tournaments left to improve for the spring season so there's more grinding to do!"
Fairfield will return to action at the ITA Northeast Regional Championships in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from October 17-20.
