FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Fairfield University Women's Lacrosse heads across town on Wednesday afternoon, continuing a four-game road swing at Sacred Heart. Opening draw from the Pioneers' Campus Field is slated for 3 p.m.

Fairfield is 2-2 on the season following Saturday's 13-12 overtime win at Hofstra.
Jillian Winwood scored the game-tying buzzer beater at the end of regulation for the Stags, and
Brenna Connolly netted the game-winner in the extra period.
Paulina DiFatta made a career-high 18 saves in the cage – tying the nation's single-game high for a goalkeeper in a win this season – en route to MAAC Rookie of the Week laurels.

On the season, Connolly leads the MAAC with 16 points comprised of eight goals and a conference-best eight assists.
Taylor Mitchell has also rattled the back of the cage eight times, while
Kathleen Hulseman adds five goals.

After hauling in a program-record 11 draw controls in each of the last two games,
Erin Mammele is second in the MAAC and eighth in the nation with an average of 8.00 draw controls per contest.

DiFatta has played every minute in the cage this spring, leading the MAAC and ranking sixth in the nation with a .543 save percentage. Her 12.75 saves per game also rate sixth in the country as well as second among MAAC goalkeepers, and she is the current NCAA Division I co-leader with 51 total saves to her credit.

Sacred Heart plays at home for the first time this season with an 0-2 record following a 14-2 loss at New Hampshire and a 13-8 setback at Iona.

Cassie Cesario leads the Pioneers with four points through two games. Cesario and Hanna Wise have each netted a team-leading three goals thus far. Paige Hammick has played all 120 minutes in the cage, posting a .449 save percentage and 13.50 goals-against average.

The Stags are 12-0 all-time against Sacred Heart following last season's 13-4 win over the Pioneers at Rafferty Stadium.

Fairfield will also visit New Hampshire and Lehigh on their current road trip before returning to Conway Field at Rafferty Stadium to host Boston University on Wednesday, March 14 at 3 p.m.
