Biography
2019: MAAC All-Championship Team… MAAC All-Academic Team…Appeared in and started 16 games…Won 54 draws, including 10 in the win over Sacred Heart…Also picked up 19 ground balls with 11 caused turnovers.
2018: All-MAAC Second Team…MAAC All-Academic Team…Broke her own program records with 123 draw controls on the season and 217 in her career…Also set a new standard with 11 draw controls in a game – achieved in back-to-back outings against Columbia and Hofstra…Had 16 ground balls and 20 caused turnovers as a defensive starter in all 20 games.
2017: All-MAAC First Team… MAAC All-Academic Team… Started all 18 games for Fairfield as sophomore… Set new single-season program records with 86 draw controls and 4.8 per game… Scooped up 21 groundballs and had eight caused turnovers… Also scored one goal against Sacred Heart on March 22.
2016: Made eight appearances for the Stags in her freshman season… Made her collegiate debut at Hofstra on February 27th… Tallied her first career assist at New Hampshire on March 5th… And on April 20th against Quinnipiac scored her first career goal… Finished the season with two points and eight draw controls.
Before Fairfield: At Daniel Hand High School, Mammele was a member of the field hockey and lacrosse team. She was the senior captain of the field hockey team, and in 2014 was named the SCC Tournament Most Outstanding Player, named to both the SCC and All-State First Team, named to the NFHCA Southern New England All-Region Team, and the MAX Field Hockey Northeast All-Region Team. As a team in 2014, they won SCC and CIAC titles. On the lacrosse team she was also named captain during her senior year. She was an All-State First Team selection, All-SCC First Team selection, and a New Haven Register All-Area selection in both 2014 and 2015. In 2015, Mammele was a U.S. Lacrosse First Team All-American, the SCC Girls Lacrosse Player of the Year, the SCC Tournament Most Outstanding Player, named to the USA Today All-USA Connecticut Girls Lacrosse Team, and named to the All-Courant Team. The team was the SCC regular season and tournament champions in 2015. She finished her high school lacrosse career with 154 goals and 84 assists. In the classroom, she was named to the U.S. Lacrosse All-Academic team in 2014 and 2015 as well as the DHHS CIAC Scholar Athlete of the Year in 2015. She was also a member of the NFHCA National Academic Squad and a DHHS SCC Scholar Athlete.
Personal: Daughter of Mike and Amanda Mammele...Has three siblings, Neil (25), C.J. (24), and Michael Jr. (21)... Her father, Mike, was a swimmer at Temple University and her brother, Neil, played baseball at Quinnipiac University... Major is Undeclared.
