Fairfield resumes MAAC play with a three-game series against Saint Peter's, April 6-7, on Alumni Diamond. The two teams play a doubleheader on Saturday which begins at noon followed by a single game on Sunday at 12pm.

Fairfield (8-15; 2-4 MAAC); vs. Saint Peter's (8-15; 2-1 MAAC): The Peacocks took two out of three from the Stags last season in Jersey City, N.J., snapping a four-game losing skid against Fairfield. After the Stags took the first game of the series, 6-5, the Peacocks swept the doubleheader clipping Fairfield by scores of 2-1 and 5-1. Fairfield is 88-43 all-time against Saint Peter's.
A Look at the Peacocks: Saint Peter's snapped a five-game skid with an 18-8 victory over LIU-Brooklyn on April 3 in the Peacocks' home opener. Saint Peter's had 29 of its first 30 games scheduled as road contests. Senior Matt Speckmann, who is batting .291, leads the Peacocks with 16 RBI and 13 runs scored. Junior James Smith is batting .309 with 11 runs scored and 13 driven in. On the hill, Zach Hopf (1-4) has a 3.82 ERA with 29 strikeouts this season.

Ryan Plourde extended his hitting streak to 15 games with a single in his last at-bat of the day at NJIT and has now reached base in 23 consecutive games. Senior

Anthony Hajjar is the 34th toughest batter to strikeout in the nation, fanning once every 15.8 at-bats.
Looking Ahead: Fairfield hosts Yale University on April 10 before traveling to Marist College for a three-game series next weekend.
