CAMDEN, N.J. -- The Fairfield University rowing teams capped another outstanding performance on the water this morning as the Stags placed four entries in final events Sunday. The women's novice 4 highlighted the day by capturing the gold medal in this morning's grand final, crossing the finish line in 7:50.13. The men's novice 4 rowed in the petite final, the men's second varsity 4 was in the event final, while the men's varsity four secured a position in the petite final.
The men's novice 4 advanced to the Petite Final after taking third place in its heat yesterday with a time of 7:33.14, as well as third place in the semifinal with a time of 7:12.10. The Stags went up against Villanova, Lafayette, Drexel, Penn State, and USMMA but surpassed their efforts by more than six seconds. Bobby Lawler, Charlie Serpa, Kier Kaiser,

Olivia Vita, finished the race in 7:12.24 with Villanova finishing second in 7:19.03.
The women's novice 4, comprised of

Nicole Karwashan, won the gold medal by finishing the course in 7:50.13, more than six seconds ahead of George Mason A. Northeastern, Pitt !, Old Dominion, and Villanova were also on the water for Fairfield's winning run.
The men's varsity 4 also competed in a Petite Final, taking third place behind Wentworth (6:50.64) and Pittsburgh B. The Stags crossed the line in 6:58.98 behind the efforts of Floris Jan Floris,
Matt McNeill,
Luke Auger,
Tom Siddall, and coxswain
Trent Domingos.
The men's second varsity four reached the final of the Knecht Cup and secured fifth place with a time of 7:45.90. George Mason won the event in 7:00.52, followed by Rollins, Villanova, and Wentworth. The College of New Jersey ended the event in sixth place. The Stags crew consisted of Rob Preli, Jake Offermann,
