Rowing Teams Make Their Mark At Head Of The Charle

Men's Rowing Opened Spring Season At Jesuit Invita

                The men's rowing team picked up two third-place finishes at the Jesuit Invitational, including performances by the novice eight and second varsity eight. The varsity eight finished fourth overall and in front of conference foe Loyola University.

                In the novice eight, Rob Preli, George Bellos, Bobby Lawler, Jake Offermann, Kier Kaiser, Chris Calitri, Eddy Nilan, Charlie Serpa, and coxswain Olivia Vita combined for a third-place run that ended with a time of 7:11.1. Georgetown A won the vent with a time of 6:40.8. The Stags finished in front of Georgetown's B entry.

                The second varsity eight saw Fairfield post a time of 7:56.3 while Georgetown won the race with Boston College taking second place. The Fairfield crew included George Bellos, Lev Macht-Greenberg, Ariel Miranda, John Driscoll, Matt Dunn, Chris Calitri, Bobby Lawler, Jake Offerman, and coxswain Meg Kirby.

                The varsity eight concluded the day by capturing fourth place with a time of 7:16.4 with Georgetown and Saint Joseph's taking the top two spots. Fairfield's entry included Cameron Shalkowski, Sam Sullivan, Phil Falco, Cameron Bowen, Luke Auger, Matt McNeill, Floris-Jan Floris, Tom Siddall, and coxswain Shannon Dermody.
