Fairfield travels to Yale University on Wednesday, April 11 for a doubleheader against the Bulldogs beginning at 3:30pm.

Fairfield (12-19) vs. Yale (6-22-1): Fairfield and Yale got rained out last season at Alumni Diamond, so the Stags will make their 13th consecutive trip to the Bulldogs' home turf. The squads have split the last four games, including a doubleheader split in 2010. During that doubleheader, Fairfield used a seventh-inning rally to take the first game, 4-3, before falling, 7-3, in the second game. Fairfield is 15-25 all-time against Yale.

Brett Shulick threw a complete game to help the Stags defeat Rider, 3-1, in the series finale at Alumni Diamond on Monday afternoon. Shulick (3-3) went the distance, scattering seven hits while striking out four batters over nine innings. He retired 15 of the final 17 batters he faced, including eight straight to end the game.
Closing in on 500: Head Coach
Bill Currier is closing in on his 500th career victory as a Division I head coach needing just four wins. Currier has an overall coaching record of 498-489 in 23 seasons as a head coach. Currier was 486-470 in 22 seasons as the head coach at Vermont.
Fairfield Among the MAAC leaders: The Stags pitching staff is second in the MAAC with a 4.25 ERA with opponents hitting just .270. Fairfield is also second in the MAAC in strikeouts with 184. Individually, senior

Ryan Plourde is fifth in slugging percentage (.505).
Providing Relief: Rookie
Andrew Gallagher has allowed just one run in his last 11 relief appearances. Before giving up a run at Iona on March 24, Gallagher had thrown 12 scoreless innings of relief. Gallagher is 1-0 with a save and a 1.12 ERA this season.
