Swimming & Diving Visits Holy Cross On Saturday

The Fairfield University men's and women's swimming and diving teams will head to the College of the Holy Cross on Saturday, October 13 at 1pm at the Hart Center Pool.

Fairfield vs. Holy Cross: The Stags opened their 2011-12 campaign by sweeping the Crusaders at the RecPlex. The Fairfield men's team posted a 185-106 victory while the women notched a 147-136 win. The Fairfield women's team has taken four of the last five meetings with Holy Cross' lone victory coming in 2008. The Stags men's team has defeated the Crusaders in each of the last five meetings.

A Look At Holy Cross: The Crusaders opened the season last weekend at the Assumption Pentathlon. Kristen Desrosiers was the top finisher for Holy Cross taking fifth with a time of 5:33.30. Both the men's and women's teams were picked to finish eighth in the Patriot League this season.

Last Time Out: Fairfield began the 2012-13 season with a loss to Boston College at the RecPlex on October 6. Freshman Kelly Mulligan had a solid debut for the Stags winning three individual events while picking up second place in the 200m medley relay. Senior Cacky Keating began her final season as a Stag with a pair of individual victories. On the men's side, sophomore Tyler Conley won three individual events for the Stags. On the boards, sophomore Ashlee Steinberger was the runner-up on the women's 1-meter and took third on the 3-meter. For the men, sophomore Evan Barr turned in a pair of second-place finishes.

Looking Ahead: Fairfield returns home on October 20 to host Manhattan College at 12pm. The Stags host Fordham University on October 26 at 5pm before heading to Marist College on November 10.
