Fairfield (13-5; 6-1 MAAC) regained the lead, 25-24, at 4:22 as Vazquez slashed through the lane for lay-in. The bucket sparked a run by the Stags who out-scored the Saints 8-1 over the final four minutes of the half to take a 31-25 lead into the break.

The Stags opened up a 10-point lead, 38-28, with 3:29 gone by in the second half on a lay-up by Pina. Siena (4-12; 2-5 MAAC) cut the gap to 38-32 at 15:51 but sophomore Christelle Akon-Akech stopped the run with a jumper at 14:16.
