FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- The Fairfield University men's basketball team returns to Webster Bank Arena for a Friday night match up with Loyola University. Game time is slated for 9 pm, a change from the originally scheduled time of 7 pm. The game time was switched to accomodate the television broadcast, which will air on ESPNU live. Because of the national broadcast, live video streaming will not be available for this game.

The Greyhounds bring an 11-4 overall record into tonight's game, the program's best start since joining the Division I ranks in 1981-82. The previous high was a 10-5 start also under Head Coach Jimmy Patsos in 2005-06.

Dylon Cormier, who was named the MAAC Player of the Week on December 12, leads the team in scoring (16.8 ppg), three-point percentage (.424), and steals (1.8 spg) while placing third in rebounding (5.0 rpg). Erik Etherly is the team's top rebounder with 7.5 caroms per contest. He also places second in blocked shots with 18. Cormier and Etherly comprise two of the team's four double-digit scorers this year, joining Justin Drummond (11.7 ppg), and Robert Olson (10.2 ppg). R.J. Williams is just shy of reaching double figures, checking into tonight's action with a 9.4 scoring average.

Fairfield owns an 8-8 overall record and a 3-2 MAAC mark after dropping a two-point decision to Manhattan College last Sunday. The Stags return to the Webster Bank Arena for the first time since January 1 when they defeated Canisius in their MAAC home opener.

Rakim Sanders posted his fifth double-double of the season with 14 points and 13 rebounds in the Manhattan game. The forward currently leads the team in both scoring (15.8 ppg) and rebounding (8.0 rpg). He places sixth in the MAAC for scoring and fourth for rebounding.

Derek Needham places second among his teammates with an 11.2 scoring average, but leads the team with 48 assists and 24 steals. The junior, who just moved into the top 10 on Fairfield's career assists list, will break into the Stags' top 20 for scoring with 16 more points. He enters tonight's game with 1,201 points, trailing Nick Macarchuk who tallied 1,217 points from 1960-63.

Following Friday's game, the Stags will return to action on Monday, January 16 when they host Rider University for a 7:30 pm game at Webster Bank Arena. Tickets are available at the Arena box office or online through Ticketmaster.
