FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- The Fairfield University men's basketball team closes out the home portion of its regular season schedule when it hosts Siena College on Friday night. The game will be televised live on ESPN2 beginning at 7 pm.

Before the game, the University community will honor the Stags' five seniors - Warren Edney, Yorel Hawkins, Lyndon Jordan, Greg Nero, and Kristian Petric. Because of the national broadcast, senior ceremonies will begin promptly at 6:25 pm.

Don't forget to show the nation your Fairfield pride by wearing red as part fo the Red Sea Revival.

The Stags bring a 22 -5 overall record and a 14-2 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) slate into tonight's game after posting a 76-69 win over Austin Peay State University. The Stags secured the number one seed in the 2011 Spark Energy MAAC tournament with its win over Marist College on February 16.

Fairfield stands fourth in the NCAA Division I scoring defense stats, allowing 58.1 points per game. Stephen F. Austin leads the nation by allowing 55.6 points per game, while Wisconsin is second at 57.6 points per contest.Old Dominion moved into third place by allowing 58.0 points every forty minutes.

Derek Needham leads the team in scoring with a 14.4 scoring average, which also places sixth among the MAAC scoring leaders. Ryan Olander is next in line with a 10.7 scoring average. He averages a team-best 6.8 rebounds per game,

The Saints enter tonight's game with an 11-16 overall record and a 7-9 MAAC mark. Siena comes off a 71-60 win over the University of Maine on Saturday night which halted the team's four-game skid. The team has posted a 4-9 road record, winning two of its last five road games.

Ryan Rossiter continues to put up dominant numbers for the Saints, leading the conference in both scoring (18.6 ppg) and rebounding (13.4 rpg). He joins Iona's Mike Glover as the only MAAC student-athletes averaging a double-double this season. Glover enters the weekend with an 18.5 scoring average and a 10.1 rebounding average. Glover and the Gaels are Fairfield's next opponent.

Ryan Rossiter leads the Saints in both scoring and rebounding with 18.6 points and 13.3 rebounds per contest. Clarence Jackson is the only other Siena student-athlete scoring in double figures, netting 12.2 points per game.
