FAIRFIELD, Conn. - The Fairfield Unviersity tennis team fell 7-0 at Quinnipiac on Tuesday afternoon in their final road match of the season.
The Stags kept the score close at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles, but were unable to get a victory as the Bobcats swept to earn the point. Nicole Aragones / Sarah Stuhlmann dropped a 6-4 decision in the first spot. And Emily Lombardi / Karen McKeough fell by the same score at No. 2.
In singles action Quinnipiac earned six wins, all in straight-set fashion. In the top three spots, Stuhlmann lost 6-3, 6-2. Aragones fell by a score of 7-5, 6-2. And at No. 3, Diana Prinos dropped a 6-0, 6-2 decision.
Fairfield closes out the regular season at home when they host Siena on Saturday at noon.
