CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Fairfield University Volleyball opened a weekend in Boston with a 3-0 setback on Friday night at Harvard.
Mamie Krubally put down nine kills for the Stags, and
Natalie Carlin paced the back row with a career high 17 digs.
With the straight set loss, Fairfield slips to 1-3 on the season. Harvard took the match by set scores of 25-17, 26-24, and 25-22 in the 2026 season opener for the Crimson.
In addition to Krubally's nine kills,
Emma Bortolotti added five from the right side. The quartet of
Harlan Wyche,
Sophia Nagy, and
Katelyn Cook, and
Lindsey Healey pitched in three apiece.
Aislin Oldach recorded a pair from the pins, and
Noella Migliuri and
Mia Jean Claude each landed one kill.
Zofia Sykut and Migliuri ran the offense with 13 and eight assists, respectively.
Rounding out the scoring, Cook accounted for two of Fairfield's four service aces. Jean Claude and Sykut dropped in one winner apiece.
The defensive effort was led by 17 digs from Carlin, who also distributed three assists from the back row. Oldach registered eight digs and Migliuri had five for the Stags. At the net, Fairfield amassed five team blocks with Wyche, Krubally, Nagy, and Oldach each having a hand in two rejections and Bortolotti getting a piece of one.
Harvard was led by 11 kills, 10 digs, and six service aces for Sofia Rossi.
Fairfield Volleyball will stay in Boston for two matches on Saturday. The Stags head from Harvard to Northeastern, where they will meet Holy Cross at 11 a.m. and the host Huskies at 5 p.m.
