FAIRFIELD, Conn. – After pacing Fairfield Women's Lacrosse with 11 points in a 2-0 week of Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action,
Kelly Haggerty has been named the MAAC Offensive Player of the Week. Haggerty scored nine goals with two assists in victories over Rider and Manhattan to help run the Stags to 5-0 in league play.
Haggerty set a new season high with five goals in the Wednesday win at Rider. In Saturday's home win over the Jaspers, she reached a new season high in points with four goals and a pair of assists.
The MAAC Preseason Player of the Year, Haggerty leads Fairfield with 32 goals on the season. She adds 13 assists to her total to slot second on the team behind
Tessa Caputo's 48 points.
Haggerty and the Stags have won six straight games to stand at 10-3 overall and 5-0 in the MAAC. Fairfield hosts Mount St. Mary's – also 5-0 in conference action – this Wednesday at 1 PM. Admission is free for all fans to all Fairfield Women's Lacrosse regular season home games this season.
