Stags Sign Bowling Green Transfer Paige Kohler

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Fairfield University Women's Basketball team has announced the signing of Paige Kohler from Bowling Green University to join the Stags next season. Kohler was a three-time All-MAC honoree while scoring over 1200 points and dishing out more than 300 assists in her three-year career for the Falcons.

"We are thrilled about adding Paige to our Stag family!" Head Coach Carly Thibault-DuDonis said. "She's a veteran guard who's seen a bit of everything throughout her career and her experience and presence is going to be a huge addition for our team as we continue to pursue MAAC championships and post season success! She clearly fits into 'shooters U' and will add depth as a scorer and playmaker."

Kohler was an All-MAC Third Team selection last season after leading the team in scoring with 14.9 points per game and finishing second with 3.0 assists. She had 28 double-digit scoring contests while also recording the first triple-double in Bowling Green history in a win over Lourdes.

A durable player, Kohler started all 93 games for the Falcons while averaging 34.2 minutes in her three seasons. A deadly threat from behind the arc, she paced the team in 3-pointers in each of the last two years combining for 143 in 62 games.

Before going to Bowling Green, Kohler was the Cleveland.com Player of the Year leading Olmsted High School to the Division I state championship game and a 25-4 overall record in '22-23. She was also a two-time All-Ohio First-Team selection, a Southwestern Conference's MVP and a two-time Division I Northeast Lakes District Player of the Year.

Kohler will join a Fairfield team who have won three-straight conference championships and NCAA Tournament appearances. Fairfield holds an 87-12 record over the last three seasons while amassing one of the best winning percentages in the nation. The Stags have also notched a 67-2 record against MAAC opponents during that span while receiving votes in the Associated Press (AP) Top-25 poll in each season.
