JERSEY CITY, N.J. – The Fairfield University Baseball team scored 18 runs on 14 hits leading to an 18-7 victory over Saint Peter's, completing the series sweep. The Stags have now won seven-straight MAAC contests to bring their record to 7-2 holding their second-place spot in the conference.

JP Kuczik had a couple clutch hits with runners in scoring position in middle of game to open up the score.
Luke Spencer's long home iced the 10-run rule."
All nine Fairfield starters recorded a hit and a run scored with six student-athletes also tallying a RBI.
Payten Wawruck led the squad with three hits while
JP Kuczik continued his hot-hitting with four RBI.
Luke Spencer had the longest hit of the game with a homer, the only extra base hit for the Stags in the afternoon.
The offense was balanced and patient throughout with the Stags also drawing 10 walks and four hit by pitches.
Fairfield scored five times in the first with Kuczik bringing home the first run with a fielders choice.
Jake Haarde added a RBI infield single and Connor Scalan brought it a run with a sacrifice fly.
Saint Peter's would grab the lead 7-5 in the third, but the Stags would score the next 13 runs. Kuczik regained the Fairfield lead with a two-run single in the sixth. He would also cap a four-run seventh inning with a RBI single.
Scanlan would continue the scoring with a RBI single in the eighth and Spencer crushed a two-run shot to bring in the 15th Fairfield run. Wawruck capped the scoring in the eighth with a run-scoring single to left.
Will Youngman picked up the win on the mound, giving up only an unearned run in his 2.2 innings.
Jimmy Mulvaney struck out a pair in two hitless innings and
Alex Frank threw a perfect eighth to end the game.
Wawruck, Scanlan, Kuczik, and
Matthew Bucciero all had multiple hit games.
Fairfield is back at Don and Chris Cook Field for a Tuesday midweek game against Central Connecticut State at 3pm.
