MAAC Slate Starts Saturday with 1 PM Visit from Siena

Admission is free for all fans

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Fairfield University Women's Lacrosse opens the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference portion of the 2026 schedule this Saturday on Conway Field at Rafferty Stadium with a 1 p.m. visit from Siena. Admission is free for all fans to all regular season home games this season.
 
Fairfield University Stags (5-3, 0-0 MAAC)
  • The reigning champions of the MAAC, Fairfield begins conference play at 5-3 overall after a 10-2 victory last Wednesday at Vermont.
  • Whitney Robinson made 12 saves in the victory over UVM en route to MAAC Defensive Player of the Week honors. Robinson owns a .472 save percentage and a league-best 8.93 goals-against average.
  • Kelly Haggerty leads the offense with 18 goals and nine assists.
  • Tessa Caputo adds a team-leading 18 assists.
 
Siena University Saints (5-3, 0-0 MAAC)
  • Siena is also 5-3 to start the MAAC slate, most recently falling at URI by a 7-6 count.
  • The Saints have lost three straight after a 5-0 start, netting 18 total goals in that span.
  • Defensively, Siena is the MAAC's toughest unit allowing 8.25 goals per contest. McAllister Slater leads that effort in the cage with an 8.95 GAA and .431 save percentage.
  • Olivia Nicholson has scored a team-high 18 goals.
 
Series History
  • With wins over the Saints in the regular season and the MAAC Semifinals last spring, Fairfield has won six straight over Siena to open up a 31-4 lead in the all-time series.
  • The Stags and Saints have met in the MAAC postseason in five of the last seven seasons.
