ORLANDO, Fla.-The Fairfield University men's tennis team got singles flight wins from Kostas Kollias and Domagoj Stabek on Thursday afternoon, but the Stags (1-9) fell to the Eagles of North Carolina Central University (7-5), 4-2, in the team's third and final dual match of their 2026 Florida Swing.
Kollias posted a 6-4, 6-4 triumph at number three singles; while Stabek won 6-3, 4-6, 1-0 (10-2) at number four.
Fairfield's Kacper Krolikowski took on NCC's Bharathy Naresh at number one singles on Thursday, and the two treated fans to one of the most entertaining matches of the season that was unfortunately halted by rain tied at three in the deciding set after each play took a set by a 7-6 score.
In double action against the Eagles, Luca Benaibbouche and Alexander Di Staulo posted a 6-2 win at number three, but the Eagles grabbed the point taking a 6-2 win over the Stags' duo of Alex Aguiar and Calum Jessett at number two, and Kacper Krolikowski and Kostas Kollias fell to the North Carolina Central duo of Alves and Abdul Hakeem, 6-7 (5).
Up next, Fairfield Men's Tennis will be on the WAC Outdoor Courts for the first time this spring when the Stags host Bryant University on Tuesday, March 17 at 2:00 p.m.
