ELON, N.C. – Elon's pitching trio of Aidan Stieglitz, Mike Staiano, and R.J. Latkowski combined for a 103-pitch no-hitter as the Fairfield University Baseball team fell to the Phoenix by a 3-0 final score.
 
Elon scored all three of their runs in the fifth inning on a Jose Mariano two-run single and a Charlie Evans RBI hit.
 
The two-run hit by Mariano was the only hit that Fairfield starter Hunter Hoxie allowed in his 4.2 innings of work. Jack Sheldon followed in relief with 3.1 scoreless frames.
 
The Stags managed one walk with a Jake Haarde walk in the seventh.
 
Fairfield and Elon will now play in the series finale tomorrow at noon.
