L’Amoreaux Earns Sixth MAAC Player of the Week Award

EDISON, N.J. – After leading the Fairfield University Women's Basketball team to their biggest win of the season, junior guard Kaety L'Amoreaux was named the Air Force Reserve MAAC Player of the Week for the sixth time this season. L'Amoreaux poured in a game-high 30-points in leading the Stags to a victory on the road against Quinnipiac to move into a first-place tie in the conference standings.

"We talked all week about how everything we do is about the team, and when our focus is on that, it always us all to be the best versions of ourselves," Head Coach Carly Thibault-DuDonis said. "Kaety was excellent all week long, but she'd be the first to tell you that her individual play was great because our team play was even better. So proud of Lammy!"

L'Amoreaux scored 30 or the team's 75 points in the win over the Bobcats while going 10-for-17 from the field and 4-for-8 from 3-point range. It was the 12th time this season she has scored 20 points or more and the second time she reached the 30-point mark.

For the week, she averaged 19.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists.

Her six MAAC Player of the Week awards are the most by any MAAC student-athlete since Rider's Stella Johnson during the 2019-20 season.

L'Amoreaux leads the MAAC in: scoring (19.0 points), assists (4.5), field goal percentage (.485), and free throw percentage (.896).

She is also just five points away from becoming the 13th Stag all-time to tally 500 or more points in a season.

L'Amoreaux and the Stags will start the stretch run of the regular season, next hosting Saint Peter's on Thursday night at 7pm.
