FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Fairfield University swimming and diving programs will return to the pool for a meet with Marist University on Saturday, the third straight dual meet for the Stags and the first against a Metro Conference opponent.

Fairfield comes off an open weekend but looks to carry the momentum it earned with its home sweep of Providence College on October 17. The men's team carried a 232-66 score to even its record at 1-1 on the season while the women's squad posted a 209-90 win for its first dual meet win of the campaign.

Freshman Luca Sandri established a Fairfield standard in the 100 free with his time of 50.48, one of his two victories against Providence. He also touched the wall first in the 100 breast with a time of 1:04.76.

The Stags also had three other double winners against Providence with Riley Edge (800 free and 400 IM) and Zoey Wiese (200 free and 100 free) joining Sandri and Matt Duren (100 back and 200 back) with a pair of victories.

Marist will open the home portion of its schedule on Saturday after traveling to Army West Point and Rider University to start the season. In their last outing, the women's team evened up its record with a 198-102 win against the Broncs while the men's program fell to Rider by a 159-135 mark.

The Marist women's team saw several highlight performances led by Anna Hoskovec's win in the 1000 freestyle, Bridget Rynkiewicz's victory in the 200 butterfly, and Rae Dodson posting the top time in the 200 breaststroke. On the men's side, Tyler Dropic touched the wall first in the 200 butterfly while Dylan Magda secured first in the 200 breaststroke.
