FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Fairfield University Women's Basketball home showdown against in-state rival Quinnipiac on Jan. 29 will air on ESPNU as announced today. The Stags and the Bobcats are currently tied in the conference standings with unblemished 9-0 records. Fairfield is in the midst of an 11-game winning streak overall while holding a 54-1 record against MAAC foes over the last three years. Tip-off will be at 6pm.
Fairfield's success has once again been recognized on the national stage as the team is receiving votes in the most current Associated Press (AP) Top-25 poll. They also rank third in the College Insider Mid-Major Top-25 poll.
The Stags, the two-time defending MAAC Champions, also tied a program-record with their 21st-consecutive home win, which is also the fourth-longest active streak in Division I.
Fairfield is one of the best 3-point shooting teams in the nation, leading the country with 12.4 made triples per game while ranking third with a .392 shooting percentage.
