FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Fairfield University Volleyball concludes a three-match homestand on Tuesday, Sept. 30 with a visit from crosstown conference foe Sacred Heart. First serve from Leo D. Mahoney Arena is set for 6 p.m.
Admission is free for all fans to all Fairfield Volleyball regular season home matches this season.

Fairfield University Stags (8-4, 2-0 MAAC)
- The Stags began MAAC play this past weekend with home wins over Merrimack and Quinnipiac. Fairfield swept the Warriors and rallied after dropping the first set to the Bobcats to take that match, 3-1.
- Entering this week, Fairfield leads the MAAC in hitting percentage (.266), kills (13.22/set), assists (12.37/set), and blocks (2.00/set).
- Individually, Harlan Wyche tops the conference with 1.07 blocks per frame, and Maya Walker ranks second in the league with a .383 hitting percentage.
- Fairfield's top six hitters are all averaging between 1.43 and 3.00 kills per set, led by an even 3.00 from Allie Elliott.
- The Stags utilized 13 different players in the 2-0 weekend, with all 13 contributing at least one point via a kill or service ace.
- Fairfield landed a season-best 13 service aces in the win over Quinnipiac – its highest since also serving up a baker's dozen in a four-set win at Manhattan in November of 2021.
Sacred Heart University Pioneers (3-11, 0-2)
- Sacred Heart also hosted Merrimack and Quinnipiac this past weekend, dropping both matches in four sets to slip to 3-11 overall.
- The Pioneers own non-conference wins over LIU, NJIT and CCSU.
- SHU's attack is led by Ryleigh Short with 2.87 kills per set. Ava Roodbol has run the offense to a .129 hitting percentage, distributing 8.19 assists per frame.
- Defensively, reigning MAAC Rookie of the Year Miliani Villarreal ranks third in the MAAC with 4.21 digs per set.
All-Time Series (Fairfield leads 15-5)
- After winning both ends of the first-ever MAAC home-and-home series with the Pioneers, Fairfield holds a 15-5 lead in the all-time series.
- Fairfield is 8-4 against Sacred Heart since 2009, when the series was revived on an "almost annual" basis after lying dormant since 1995.
