WEST WINDSOR, N.J. – The Fairfield University women's rowing team completed its first-ever appearance at the national championship with Sunday's finals competition. The Stags earned their entry into the NCAA Rowing Championship after winning the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) title in May.
The varsity 4 opened the day for Fairfield and enjoyed a good run against Dartmouth, Northeastern, and Rhode Island in the D Final. The Stags crossed the finish line in 7:57.11, just three seconds off Rhode Island's time. Dartmouth garnered the top time with its run of 7:22.17. The Stags were represented by Gia Enderle,

Catherine Martin, and coxswain
Grace Tyszka.
The second varsity 8 took to Mercer Lake next and rowed against Oregon State, Boston University, and Rhode Island in the D Final. The Stags ended the race with a time of 7:16.83 with Oregon State posting the best time of 6:41.16. Fairfield's entry was comprised by

The varsity 8 ended the Stags' stay at the NCAA Rowing Championship, completing the D final distance in 6:59.48. The D Final also included Northeastern, Boston University, and Rhode Island with Northeastern posting the best time (6:34.33). Fairfield's crew consisted of
